Sound Appreciates, a sound art piece for Tukwila Revealed Art Walk, Tukwila, WA, 2015
Sound appreciates, creates access to labels, naming. Labels imprint reminders of set objects. Rivers are collections of object sets, molecules, which sometimes appear whole on maps. A bridge, another collection of varied parts, put together to facilitate something under, something over, something across. This collection of sound is meant to fall between the cracks of the bridge, the molecules of the river, and rest squarely in the body of the listener, divorced from reminders of the categorical mind.
